Latest Alaska Anti-Development Activities Sound the Same Old Tune

The past week has seen several anti-development activities spring up that could have long-lasting impacts on jobs across Alaska. In Fairbanks, the Alaska Federation of Natives passed a resolution – brought forth by youth from several villages across the state and backed by eco-extremist organizations, including the Gwich’in Steering Committee and Save Bristol Bay – declaring Alaska under a climate change state of emergency and urging aggressive actions to stop it.  While the youth should be given credit for caring about our great state, the delegates miss the negative impacts on jobs and our economy that aggressive, Green-New-Deal-type activities would…

Activist Group Extinction Rebellion Strikes Again

From blocking traffic in Washington, D.C. to jumping on planes at London City Airport, we didn’t know where climate activists would go next. The answer? Super gluing themselves to train carriages in London to disrupt workers’ morning commute. The Associated Press reports: Angry commuters scuffled with climate activists who climbed onto the roofs of trains early Thursday, snarling services in the busy morning rush hours in the British capital. Londoners have largely tolerated a series of peaceful protests in recent days by the Extinction Rebellion group, but interfering with workers’ morning commute appeared to be a step too far for…

Environmental Left’s New Strategy for Climate Change: Exploiting the Youth

Last Friday, environmental extremists convened at a climate strike in Denver, Colorado led by teen global warming celebrity Greta Thunberg. The editorial board from Colorado’s local paper, The Gazette weighed in, and they were less than impressed: Random teenagers held signs suggesting strangers have sex with them instead of F-bombing Mother Earth. A toddler’s sign said, “let’s eat baby boomers.” Another placard said, “EAT the RICH SAVE the PLANET,” as a speaker on stage asked the crowd to hold hands and celebrate unity. Organizers paraded young kids on stage to lecture about environmentalism with words they could barely pronounce. Adult…

Environmental Activists Are Getting On Everyone’s Nerves

Environmental activists are out of control, stopping traffic, delaying flights and racking up arrests. Only a few weeks after the infamous Extinction Rebellion climate activist group blocked traffic in Washington, D.C., annoying commuters and actually increasing net CO2 production from stalled cars, a new set of antics is grabbing headlines. An activist from the group delayed air travelers yesterday by climbing on top of a plane at a London airport. Setting aside the safety risk and potential damage to the aircraft, travelers were less than enthused about having their flight delayed. From CNN: Extinction Rebellion are attempting to “shut down”…

How Do You Spell “Triggered”? I-N-L-E-T-K-E-E-P-E-R

Facebook is supposed to be a platform for exchanging ideas, family and friend information and everyday conversations.  As anyone using the platform knows, not all of your “friends” will agree with you, and the more extreme you are in your views, the better chance you have to be soundly “corrected” by one or more people. Cook Inletkeeper is a Homer, Alaska-based non-profit, whose anti-development, extreme environmentalist viewpoints have been on display for the world to see on Facebook since they started their page in April 2011.  Power The Future profiled their organization in March, and found that nine of their…

European Climate Group Brings Eco Extremism to America

Environmental protestors doused themselves in pools of fake blood on Wall Street on Monday and held a “die-in” to demonstrate their dire prognosis for the world’s environment. Yet, the only thing dying is there pipe dream of passing the Green New Deal or running on 100% renewable energy anytime soon. The protest was led by environmental group Extinction Rebellion, who uses a disrupting “business as usual” tactic to pressure the government to reduce carbon emission to net-zero by 2025. Founded less than a year ago in the United Kingdom, they are now working to build a movement in America. Russel…

Deafening Silence

A woman at one of Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez’s rallies went viral for standing up and telling the socialist Congresswoman that the only way to save the planet was to begin eating our children.  The Washington Examiner reports: “We’re not going to be here for much longer, because of the climate crisis,” the woman pleaded. “We only have a few months left. I love that you support the Green Deal, but it’s not gonna get rid of fossil fuel. It’s not going to solve the problem fast enough. A Swedish professor said we can eat dead people, but it’s not fast enough! So, I…

Canceling Warm Homes and Christmas Trees at the U.S. Capitol? Near Victims of New Mexico’s Eco-Left.

It would be laughable if the consequences weren’t so real. Over the last weeks in New Mexico, controversy has brewed over the cutting of firewood. A federal judge outlawed firewood cutting in the state’s forests in response to a lawsuit brought by radical environmentalists to protect an owl. The backlash was severe. From the Las Cruces Sun-News: Wood is the primary heating source for many residents who cannot afford propane and don’t have access to natural gas. The thought of having to endure the winter without it caused some to panic and worry about the well-being of their neighbors. Adair…

Environmental Activists Gear Up to Push Socialism Nationwide

As we head into 2020, the far-left environmental activists are preparing to force their agenda onto Americans nationwide. Buzzfeed News reports that the Sunrise Movement is expanding its operations in New Hampshire and Iowa to put environmental activism as a key issue in early presidential primary states. From the article: “Our top priority is to build an army of young people to elect a candidate in the caucuses who will be a champion of the Green New Deal,” Kaleb Van Fosson, a Sunrise organizer based in Iowa, told BuzzFeed News. Van Fossen is one of eight people working full time,…

Eco-Extremists Shut Down DC In Hypocritical Protest

Mobs of eco-extremists are blocking streets throughout Washington, D.C. today in an effort to “draw attention to climate change.” Their effort, called “Shut Down D.C.,” is “timed to coincide with the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York, at which climate activists and leaders, including 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, are slated to speak.” As the Washington Post reports, the eco-extremists want to “send a particular message to D.C.’s powerful political elite.” Their plan is to occupy major “heavily-trafficked intersections and streets” to shut down traffic. They want to “bring the city to a standstill,” one eco-extremist said. But is it…
