Falling Gas Prices Show American Energy Dominance Is Delivering Results

American drivers are starting to see pump prices lower.

According to AAA, the national average price for regular gasoline has dropped below $4 a gallon, continuing a steady decline that has seen prices decrease more than 51 cents in the past month alone. For families managing household budgets, summer travel plans, and rising daily expenses, lower fuel prices are welcome news.

”American Energy Dominance works, and today’s falling gas prices are proof our families pay less when our country produces more,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “This time four years ago, the failed green agenda was delivering record high prices and endless excuses while treating American energy like the enemy. These falling prices prove the eco-activists are wrong: more American energy isn’t a problem, it’s the solution.”

The difference from just a few years ago couldn’t be more obvious. In 2022, the Energy Information Administration reported that the national average price of gasoline stayed above $4 per gallon for six straight months, hitting a record high of $5.03 in June. Americans were told those prices were just the cost of pursuing climate goals and moving away from traditional energy sources.

When America produces more energy, Americans pay less. The latest drop in gas prices is clear evidence that energy abundance leads to lower costs and greater prosperity.
