PTF Calls on Trump Administration to Stop Defending Biden-Era Energy Regulations in Court

Power The Future (PTF) is urging President Trump to ensure that his administration no longer defends the Biden administration’s anti-energy agenda in federal courtrooms.

In a letter to the White House, PTF and Defend Forgotten America (DFA) urged President Trump to order a comprehensive review of ongoing federal litigation to identify cases in which government attorneys continue to defend Biden-era regulations that conflict with the administration’s energy priorities.

Among the cases highlighted is Biden’s 2024 power plant rule, which sought to impose sweeping restrictions on American power plants. Despite the Trump administration’s efforts to reverse Biden-era energy policies, parts of the rule remain in effect.

“President Trump was elected to end the war on American energy, but in courtrooms across the country, government lawyers are still defending the Biden agenda that the American people soundly rejected,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director of Power The Future. “For all their boasting about fighting for democracy, it appears some in government openly reject the agenda the voters approved. American families should not be funding lawyers in the administration who are arguing for rules and regulations rejected at the ballot box.”

The Trump administration has made unleashing American energy a priority. PTF urges the administration to ensure its legal positions reflect that commitment.
