Climate Activists Are Targeting America’s Courts
The climate movement has spent years pushing its agenda through regulations and activist lawsuits. Now, a new report is raising serious concerns about the influence of the climate movement within the court system.
According to media reports, a guide presented as neutral “education” for judges instead contains biased material intended to steer courts toward outcomes favored by climate activists.
“Justice is supposed to be blind, but it’s clear the climate movement is trying to shove it left,” said Power The Future Founder and Executive Director Daniel Turner. “Our courts should interpret the law, not be manipulated behind the scenes to arrive at the preferred outcomes of the eco-left. Once again, the public deserves to know which judges relied on this questionable guidance and which cases they impacted.”
Last August, Power The Future sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi requesting an investigation into the groups providing climate “education” to judges. Since then, the House Judiciary Committee has opened their own investigation into the groups.
Climate litigation is already being weaponized to block energy projects and drive up costs for American families. In December, Power The Future released our own report exposing how these lawsuits are raising costs for all Americans. If activist groups are quietly influencing judges behind closed doors, the public deserves full transparency.
