American Energy Steps Up as the World Calls

Last week, the United States hit a new milestone: a record 12.9 million barrels per day in crude oil and petroleum product exports. Since the conflict in Iran began and the disruption of the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. exports have surged by 2.5 million barrels per day, underscoring a simple reality: when global supply is threatened, the world turns to America.

This isn’t an accident. It’s the direct result of American energy strength.

As Middle Eastern supply tightens and global markets scramble, U.S. producers are doing what they do best: stepping up. Product exports alone reached a record 8.1 million barrels per day, while total exports have doubled since January 2022. At the same time, domestic inventories remain strong, giving the U.S. both the capacity and the flexibility to meet rising international demand.

In moments of crisis, energy becomes leverage.

For years, American energy producers have been held back by red tape, political hostility, and misguided policies that treated domestic production as a liability rather than a strategic asset. But the global response to this latest disruption makes one thing clear: American energy dominance isn’t just good for the United States and essential for the world.

From Europe to Asia, our allies are relying on U.S. oil to keep their economies moving and their citizens secure.

The lesson is straightforward: when America leads in energy, the world is more stable.
