April 2025 Energy Champion of the Month: Rep. August Pfluger

As Chairman of the Republican Study Committee and a tireless advocate for America’s energy workers, Rep. Pfluger has been at the forefront of restoring sanity and strength to U.S. energy policy. In April, he led the charge to repeal the Biden Administration’s natural gas tax, one of the most damaging provisions of the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. Thanks to his leadership, Congress acted swiftly to eliminate this harmful tax before it could take full effect, a major victory for working families, domestic producers, and U.S. energy independence.
But Rep. Pfluger’s impact goes far beyond one bill. He’s consistently championed the men and women who power this country, standing up for affordable energy, common-sense regulation, and America-first production policies that were cast aside under the last administration.
From West Texas to Washington, Rep. Pfluger has made it clear: American energy isn’t something to apologize for but rather a competitive advantage, a national security asset, and a source of pride.
