Zeldin Cleans House and Puts Biden’s $20 Billion Green Slush Fund Under Investigation

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin is proving once again that accountability is back at the Environmental Protection Agency. On Monday, the Trump EPA officially referred Biden’s $20 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) to the agency’s inspector general for investigation, and rightfully so. This so-called “climate” program wasn’t about reducing emissions; it was a taxpayer-funded payout scheme for Democrat insiders, green special interests, and radical activists. According to Administrator Zeldin in a Daily Caller article:

“It is my pledge to be accountable for every penny the EPA spends. This marks a stark turn from the waste and self-dealing of the Biden-Harris Administration intentionally tossing ‘gold bars off the Titanic.’”

Let’s be clear: Green banks should not even exist. The government stood these up with taxpayer money to fund politically connected climate groups, many of which are loaded with former Biden, Obama, and Clinton officials. But that’s exactly what happened under Biden’s EPA.

Just a few of the outrageous revelations uncovered by the Trump EPA:

  • Reckless financial mismanagement and conflicts of interest
  • A shocking decision to park $20 billion in taxpayer funds at Citibank
  • Contracts signed at the last minute to shield awardees from oversight

This wasn’t just wasteful; it was corruption on autopilot. And now, thanks to Zeldin’s leadership, the FBI, DOJ, and EPA’s own internal watchdog are all investigating.

Biden’s EPA treated taxpayer dollars like Monopoly money for their climate cronies. But the era of no-strings-attached green slush funds is over. Power The Future applauds Zeldin’s crackdown on corruption because Americans deserve real energy leadership, not climate grift on the taxpayer’s dime.
