That’s why we’re proud to name Secretary of Energy Chris Wright our Energy Champion of the Month for August 2025.
Under his leadership, the Department of Energy has taken bold action to restore America’s control over the resources that power our economy and our national security.
Just this month, DOE announced nearly $1 billion in new funding to expand America’s critical mineral industry—a complete reversal of Biden-era policies that forced us to rely on China for the very minerals needed to build modern technologies. As Secretary Wright put it:
“For too long, the United States has relied on foreign actors to supply and process the critical materials that are essential to modern life and our national security. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, the Energy Department will play a leading role in reshoring the processing of critical materials and expanding our domestic supply of these indispensable resources.”
This is a lifeline for American workers. From coal miners in Montana to natural gas drillers in Pennsylvania, Wright’s DOE is proving that energy security begins at home.
He also understands what others ignore: there is no AI revolution, no advanced manufacturing, and no strong America without reliable, affordable energy. That’s why DOE is prioritizing base load power, rejecting climate dogma, and cutting the red tape that held America back.
