Gas Drops Below $3 as U.S. Oil Production Hits Record High
Good news for every driver, worker, and family across America: the national average for a gallon of gasoline has officially dropped below $3 for the first time in years. At the same time, U.S. oil production has hit a new record of more than 13.6 million barrels per day. This is a testament to what American energy workers can accomplish when the government gets out of the way and lets them lead.
“Once again, we’re seeing the Trump Effect at work and the results are encouraging and prove what happens when leaders actually believe in American energy, the workers who make it possible,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “This is a victory for every working family that depends on affordable energy to get to work, put food on the table, or heat their homes this winter—and a reminder that when American power thrives, our entire nation wins.”
This milestone is about more than lower prices at the pump. It’s about restoring energy independence, strengthening our economy, and proving that common-sense energy policy benefits everyone. We are thankful to have an administration that understands the importance of utilizing American energy and putting our workers first.
