Low Gas Prices Prove Trump’s Energy Agenda is Working

For the first time in four years, Americans hitting the road for Spring Break are seeing relief at the gas pump. As of today, the national average for a gallon of gas is $3.078, marking an 11% drop from last year and the lowest price since 2021. And it didn’t even take a Strategic Petroleum Reserve bailout to get here.

Gas Prices Are Down, And It’s Not Luck

AAA’s latest data shows that under President Trump’s leadership, gas prices are down more than 38 cents from last year. And it’s not just gasoline that most Americans use in their cars, it is also diesel prices. Down 11%, cheaper diesel means lower transportation costs for goods and services nationwide, reducing sticker shop at the store caused by years of pro-inflationary policies. Unlike the reckless energy policies of the past, which artificially manipulated supply and depleted emergency reserves, today’s price relief is a direct result of pro-energy policies that prioritize American production.

As Power The Future put it in a new release:

“Energy powers everything in America including our vacations, and thankfully the cost of gas this Spring Break is at the lowest in years because President Trump puts our power first,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “As millions hit the road this Spring Break, they’re paying the lowest prices in four years without a bailout from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. As Americans see lower prices at the pump, it might not be long before we see ‘I did that’ stickers featuring President Trump.”

Biden’s Energy Failures Are in the Rearview Mirror

Looking back at the last few years, it’s clear how much damage the Biden administration’s anti-energy agenda caused:

  • 2022: $4.239/gallon
  • 2023: $3.422/gallon
  • 2024: $3.453/gallon

Americans suffered through record-high prices, empty promises of “green energy miracles,” and policies that favored foreign suppliers over domestic producers. Meanwhile, working families paid the price at the pump, in their heating bills, and across the economy.

The Future of Energy Looks Bright

Now, under President Trump, we’re witnessing the benefits of energy dominance in action. With more domestic production, fewer regulatory roadblocks, and an administration that puts American workers first, gas prices are on the decline and so are costs across the board.

As Spring Break travelers enjoy the lowest gas prices in four years, one thing is clear: Energy prosperity is back. The failed policies of the past have been replaced by common sense leadership, and Americans are winning again.
