Mike Dunleavy: Energy Champion of the Month

At Power The Future, we believe the leaders who fight for energy, jobs, and American resource dominance deserve recognition. This month, we are proud to name Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy as our Energy Champion of the Month for November 2025.

Governor Dunleavy isn’t just talking about energy; he’s delivering policies and infrastructure that could reshape not only Alaska’s economy but America’s energy security for decades to come.

He’s cutting bureaucracy and clearing the path for energy and infrastructure development. In August 2025, Alaska signed a Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council MOU under Dunleavy’s leadership, giving the state direct access to federal permitting tools under FAST-41. That means better transparency, predictable timelines, and fewer bureaucratic delays for major energy and pipeline projects.

He’s spearheading the Alaska LNG Project, Alaska’s bid to build an 800-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from the North Slope to global markets. Just this month, Dunleavy said a binding agreement with a South Korean investor could come soon, a potential game-changer for global LNG supply and U.S. energy dominance.

He’s signing laws that balance resource development with reliability and long-term planning. In 2024, Dunleavy approved bills enabling carbon-capture utilization, strengthening Alaska’s energy independence, and laying out frameworks for mineral and resource development.

He’s restoring Alaska’s place on the global energy map. Under Dunleavy, Alaska is reasserting itself as a “resource warehouse, ” not just in oil and gas, but in strategic minerals needed for modern industry. His administration recently welcomed historic interior-department approvals that unlock key regions for resource development and mining access that were stalled by previous administrations.

This isn’t about ideology. It’s about real work: permits signed, pipelines planned, state laws enacted, and long-term thinking for energy and industry.

Energy workers – miners, drillers, pipeline crews, technicians – are the backbone of this country. Under Dunleavy’s leadership, they are getting a chance at meaningful, long-term jobs. Alaska’s energy resurgence means good-paying work in energy and infrastructure, stable careers in mining, gas, and LNG, and renewed hope for rural and remote communities.

In an era when many in Washington threaten pipelines, delay permits, or chase fleeting political optics, Governor Dunleavy is doing the hard work of delivering energy, jobs, and long-term security.

That’s why this month we salute Mike Dunleavy as Energy Champion of the Month.

Alaskans, energy workers, and the American people thank you. Let’s keep building.
