President Trump Calls Out Global Climate Hypocrisy, Urges Real Energy Security
Back in 2018, Germany’s UN delegation laughed when President Trump warned that their dependence on Russian natural gas left them vulnerable. Yesterday, it was President Trump who had the last laugh. Speaking at the United Nations, he urged world leaders to abandon the failed global climate crusade and instead focus on achieving real energy security. He called out the hypocrisy of international mandates that punish American producers while rewarding countries that manipulate energy markets. “If you don’t get away from the green energy scam, your country is going to fail,” Trump warned. Just two months ago, the European Union signed a $750 billion deal to purchase American-made energy, aiming to reduce its reliance on Russia.
Power The Future applauds President Trump’s stand,
“President Trump is spot on to call out the climate agenda for what it is: a movement that weakens nations and leaves families paying the price,” said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. “Europe’s dependence on Russian natural gas proves windmills and solar panels can’t reliably provide critical power when needed. Thankfully, America has the natural resources to power our future and now we also have leadership in Washington, D.C. willing to defend American producers.”
The President’s remarks took place as a new report shows many industrialized countries are increasing fossil fuel production despite International climate mandates. Further proving that fossil fuels are necessary to continue supplying reliable and affordable energy globally.
