Washington, D.C. — Today, President Trump announced a major initiative to begin stockpiling critical minerals in the U.S., marking a decisive step toward strengthening America’s supply chain and economic security. The move, called “Project Vault” is designed to make the U.S. more self-reliant for critical minerals and lessen the country’s dependence on China for the elements that are needed in the defense, manufacturing, and automotive industries.
“It’s clear that President Trump believes that ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ is worth fighting for, so we welcome this important step,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “From Alaska to coal country, American workers will always produce these critical minerals better than China and they’ll do it while protecting our economy and national security.”
Power The Future warned years ago in their report Where Green Meets Red: How the Environmental Agenda is Making America Dependent on China that misguided policies from the Biden Administration were increasing America’s dependence on foreign minerals.
