PTF Calls on DHS to Review Greta Thunberg’s Entry Into the U.S.

Today, Power The Future released an open letter to the Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, urging the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement to review whether foreign climate activist Greta Thunberg should be allowed to enter the United States. Thunberg’s recent actions abroad raise valid concerns about public safety here at home.

Just days ago, Thunberg was banned from Venice after participating in an act of vandalism against the city’s historic Grand Canal. Unfortunately, this is part of a broader pattern.

As Power The Future founder Daniel Turner explains, Thunberg has repeatedly aligned herself with groups like Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil, organizations known for causing chaos.

“Everywhere Greta Thunberg goes, chaos follows and we have enough internal instability from the climate movement without importing foreign extremists who are further committed to unrest,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power the Future. “Greta Thunberg has aligned herself with organizations like Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil—groups responsible for property damage, highway blockades, and dangerous public disorder. Secretary Noem and the Trump Administration are working tirelessly to keep America safe, and we urge them to take a hard look at whether agitators like Thunberg should be allowed onto American soil.”

Our letter also highlights Thunberg’s recent removal from Israel, along with her documented participation in actions such as smashing windows, shutting down UK printing presses, attacking priceless artwork, and blocking major roads.

We believe America should welcome open debate—but not vandalism, intimidation, or activists who threaten public safety. Given Thunberg’s increasing pattern of extremism, DHS must evaluate whether letting her into the U.S. is in the national interest.

We’ve witnessed enough chaos from the global climate movement. We don’t need to bring more in.
