PTF Praises Trump Administration for Pulling Plug on U.N. Conference
Every year, high-level bureaucrats fly around the world on private jets to be wined and dined at the United Nations COP conference. This year, COP30 is happening in Belem, Brazil, where they cleared part of the Amazon rainforest for the event. All this just so they can lecture us on how terrible our carbon footprint is. This year, President Trump has wisely decided not to send any high-level officials to COP30.
“President Trump is absolutely right to end the taxpayer-funded hypocrisy that defines these bloated climate retreats,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. “It will be fascinating to see how many leftists crying over their government shutdown somehow find their way into this elitist party. Thanks to President Trump, instead of wasting millions on bureaucrats sipping cocktails in Brazil, our tax dollars can stay home and help build American Energy Dominance.”
These events benefit only the elite who attend the lavish conferences on someone else’s dime. Last year’s COP29 trip saw 400 Biden-era employees flown out, $7 million of our tax dollars spent, and nothing in return. Thankfully, President Trump and his administration are exercising common sense by keeping our federal workers home to continue fighting for American Energy Dominance.
