Extremist Org Cook Inletkeeper Leads Efforts To Stymie Approved Seismic Testing In Cook Inlet

September 11, 2019

Last week, Homer, Alaska-based Cook Inletkeeper joined its national extremist cousin, the Center for Biological Diversity, in filing a lawsuit against the federal government, aiming to stop Hilcorp from moving ahead with seismic testing in its areas where it holds leases for possible future oil and gas extraction. As noted in our earlier post on the subject, Hilcorp’s ability to complete seismic testing will allow it to map potential fields.  Cook Inletkeeper – driven to appease its Lower-48-funded handlers’ wishes to lock up as much of Alaska from responsible resource development, even when the development would allow for “green energy”…

REPORT: Eco-Groups Raking In Cash To Oppose Trump Administration

September 9, 2019

President Donald Trump is waging a historic effort to improve America’s energy economy and support energy workers across the country. He’s worked to roll back unnecessary, burdensome regulations that have been stifling American energy, and he’s fought to make it easier to develop needed energy infrastructure, such as pipelines. It’s thanks to the efforts of the Trump administration that the U.S. is on track to become a net energy exporter next year, for the first time in seven decades. This is the achievement of a longstanding, bipartisan dream to free America from the clutches of dependence on foreign oil, often from adversaries…

Tongass Logging’s Recovery Brings Out the Eco-Extremists to Fight It

May 29, 2019

The Tongass National Forest – the U.S.’s largest – used to be a base of operations for several logging companies. In 1990, there were more than 4,000 employees in Alaska, when both logging and mill operations were counted. Then came the Clinton administration, where a war on clear-cutting became the standard operating procedure for the environmentalists who had the administration’s ears.  By 2010, there were only 400 or so Alaskans involved in the industry. With President Trump signaling a renewed interest in putting Americans to work, the Forest Service plans on offering leases in the Tongass, beginning later this year….

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Says Green New Deal Will Stop “Colonial Approach” To Vegetables

May 23, 2019

Did you know that growing cauliflower in Manhattan is a form of “colonialism” that must be stopped? According to freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, it’s simply terrible, and she says her “Green New Deal” will stop it. Touring a vegetable garden earlier this week, Ocasio-Cortez blasted the “colonial” attitudes that are often seen in community gardens. “What I love too is growing plants that are culturally familiar to the community. It’s so important,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “That is such a core component of the Green New Deal is having all of these projects make sense in a cultural context.” Then, she got specific, attacking…

PTF Exposes WildEarth Guardians

May 17, 2019

Power The Future has been exposing left-wing environmental groups who have been targeting the energy industry and its workers across the country. Last month, we called attention to the Center For Biological Diversity, a national group using the legal system to stifle energy development, and Cook Intletkeeper, a supposed Alaska-based eco-group that actually receives much of its money from out of state. In February we profiled the Sunrise Movement, the group of eco-activists pushing the Green New Deal. Now, Power The Future is shining a light on WildEarth Guardians. WildEarth Guardians is an eco-activist group quickly gaining prominence on the left that uses lawsuits to get their…

Extremists Sue to Block U.S. Forestry’s Lease Sales

May 8, 2019

As Power The Future has noted, the U.S. Forest Service’s plans for the first timber lease sales in years in Southeast Alaska could bring back much-needed jobs. “Not so fast!” was the immediate response from eight environmental groups, who sued to block the project – before the details were even made public. Yes, that’s right. Before the details were even made public. Here’s what we know: the Forest Service’s plan calls for stream restorations and culvert replacements, as well as improved recreation including trail building and new public use cabins and shelters that have been asked for by locals. In other words,…

The Sierra Club has been a household name for the past century, having been founded in 1892 “to explore,…

Australian Locals Fight Back To Save Coal Mine And Thousands Of New Jobs

April 29, 2019

Eco-protests are doing their best to stall new job opportunities and slow down economic growth across the world. In London, they’ve been gluing themselves to train cars and shutting down the city. In America, we’ve seen protestors sit in trees and violate the law to disrupt the development of needed pipelines. And now in Australia, we’re seeing protesters bussed into a rural town of 3,000 people in order to protest the development of a coal mine that would bring thousands of new jobs to the area. Only this time, the locals fought back. Over the weekend, the “Bob Brown Foundation,”…

“Extinction Rebellion” Spreads To America As Environmental Protestors Are Arrested In NYC

April 19, 2019

On Wednesday, we told you how extreme environmental activists who call themselves the “Extinction Rebellion” were causing mass disruption in London. They shut down bus routes and traffic. They took over bridges and squares, set up roadblocks and even glued themselves to trains. As a result, at least half a million London residents had their commutes ruined, not to mention the local businesses losing $15 million per day, reporting a 25% drop in sales. The “Extinction Rebellion” did this all in the name of going “carbon zero” by 2025 – a goal that is scientifically impossible given current technology. Now, though, the protests…

Hundreds Arrested In London As Eco-Protestors Glue Themselves To Trains

April 17, 2019

Eco-protestors have taken over London, and the costs are already racking up. Extreme environmental activists, who call themselves the “Extinction Rebellion,” have caused mass disruption in the city, with protestors taking over bridges and squares, shutting down traffic and bus routes. The extremists say they want to “pause” cities so that countries become carbon zero by 2025. Notably, eliminating all fossil fuels in six years is not technically or economically feasible. But in typical eco-group form, facts aren’t part of their equation. “This action is called ‘The Pause,’” says the group. “Our aim is to create moments in time when…
